Gray and Green Leaves Eco Print Silk Scarf

$94.95
sold out

Wrap yourself in the softness of silk and the beauty of nature! This scarf was hand dyed using the natural pigments from real leaves. Colors are permanent and it will be a beautiful wearable art piece for years to come.

The background of this scarf is pale gray and it has prints of dogwood and a variety of maple leaves. The leaf prints are beautiful shades of gray and green. Colors are permanent and this scarf is hand washable.

To make this one of a kind scarf, real leaves were gathered and bundled with the fabric. Through an eco-friendly process, the natural pigments in the leaves were permanently transferred to the silk fabric. This process of printing with leaves is called "eco printing" or "botanical printing." No synthetic inks, dyes or pigments are used. You can learn more about my eco printing process here: https://www.cedardellforestfarm.com/eco-printing/

This scarf is made from 100% silk charmeuse. Charmeuse is a luxurious medium weight silk. The front side has a beautiful sheen while the reverse is matte. The colors are brightest on the front of the scarf but do show through on the the reverse side as well.

You will receive the exact scarf shown in the photos. It comes packaged in a box with an information and care sheet.

Size:

14 X 72 inches (35.5 X 183 cm)

Materials:

100% silk

Care & Handling:

- Gently hand wash.

- Use mild soaps.

- No tumble dry. Hang or lay flat to dry.

- Iron using silk settings.

- Do not dry clean.

Eco-Printing requires the application of heat and pressure to fabric, often resulting in a more textured appearance of the fabric. While small wrinkles in the fabric may ease over time, they are a semi-permanent feature of the eco-printing process.
