Tagetes erecta
These giant marigolds are sometimes called Big Marigolds, African Marigolds, or Aztec Marigolds. Whichever name you want to use, one thing is true - these flowers are huge! The plants can get 3 - 4 feet tall and the flowers are supersize too.
Flowers are varying shades of yellow and orange and all can be used to make a warm golden dye for mordanted fiber.
Full sun is ideal. These plants are in 1 gallon pots.
