Light Yellow Peace Silk Embroidery Floss

$3.75
10 available

Take your stitching to the next level with this beautiful, plant dyed silk floss! It is made from ahimsa, or peace silk, which means that no silkworms were harmed in the collection of silk from their cocoons. It is made of two tightly twisted plies that cannot be separated, similar to pearl (perle) cotton thread.

This silk embroidery floss was hand dyed by myself using Dyer's Chamomile flowers that I grow on my farm in Oregon. The cheerful yellow coloring is mostly solid but may have some slight variations, giving depth and interest to your stitching.

This is for one 10 yard (9.15 m) skein of light yellow floss.

This thread is 20/2 weight and can be used for embroidery, needlepoint, sashiko and boro stitching, visible mending, tatting, beading and more! When compared to DMC cotton pearl floss, this silk floss is a little thicker than size 8 but is thinner than size 5.
