This beautiful blue silk scarf has been dyed using natural indigo dye and the natural pigments of real sweetgum leaves and coreopsis flowers. All colors are permanent and washable so it is a lovely memento of the natural world that will last for years to come.
Real leaves and flowers are gathered and bundled with the fabric, making each scarf completely one of a kind. This scarf was dyed a medium shade of blue using natural indigo dye. Leaf and flower prints are made from the plants’ own natural pigments. Leaves are light grey-green with golden brown outlines and the flower prints are dark orange.

This scarf is a type of 100% silk called silk charmeuse. It is very soft and has a beautiful shine on the front side, while the back is matte. Colors and leaf prints show on both sides, though leaf prints are strongest on the front.
