This course includes 45 minutes of video instruction that includes the pros and cons of using a variety or cotton rope and cording - from macrame rope to clothesline. I share how to determine the perfect stitch on your sewing machine for the rope you have and then walk you through the steps of sewing, from making a flat base for the basket to gently curving the sides to create a functional basket. I demonstrate several ways to finish the end of the basket to add decorative flairs and as a bonus, this course also includes instructions on changing the shape of the basket and adding handles.

By the end of this class you will know how to sew a cute, new basket to use in any number of ways. Organize your desk, hold art supplies, contain kids’ toys, use as a fruit basket, give as a gift, or make a bunch of baskets with different sizes and shapes and use them for everything!
